Today, the Senate committee on public order and dangerous drugs widens its probe on the death of teenager Kian delos Santos to include the investigation of the death of two other teenage boys, Carl Arnaiz and Reynaldo 'Kulot' de Guzman, who where also both killed during police operations. Our #AnimatED for the week takes on another death that is equally worthy of concern: that of Horacio Castillo III allegedly died due to hazing by the Aegis Juris fraternity.

We recall the other deaths from this ritual. We call attention to the toothless Anti-Hazing law, which failed to criminalize this form of barbarism.

Elsewhere in the world, US President Donald Trump defends US efforts to bring relief to storm-battered Puerto Rico, even as one island official said Trump was trying to gloss over "things that are not going well."
