Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte is heading for Japan at the end of the month, according to the Japanese government.

Sources, meanwhile, said Duterte is considering tapping Kabayan Representative Harry Roque as his spokesman. Will Roque replace Ernesto Abella?

Duterte to visit Japan

President Rodrigo Duterte will be visiting Japan from October 29 to 31. Malacañang has yet to announce the trip, but the Japanese government said Duterte is heading there for a visit.

Sources said Kabayan Representative Harry Roque might be tapped to be President Rodrigo Duterte's spokesman, possibly replacing Ernesto Abella. The President and Roque will discuss the offer further during a dinner scheduled this week.
