President Rodrigo Duterte is against divorce, said Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque about the chief executive's latest stance on a proposed measure to allow divorce in the Philippines. Duterte thinks divorce should not be made legal because it would negatively affect the children of the couple, explained Roque.

On the Napoles case, anti-graft court Sandiganbayan Presiding Justice Amparo Cabotaje-Tang said that the Witness Protection Program law does not allow the Department of Justice (DOJ) to take Janet Lim Napoles into its custody.

Meanwhile, Facebook shares plunged as the social media giant faced an onslaught of criticism at home and abroad over revelations that a firm working for Donald Trump's presidential campaign harvested and misused data on 50 million members.
