Apprentice Asia: A Filipino victory
MANILA, Philippines - Rappler speaks with Jonathan Yabut, the winner of TV contest, “The Apprentice Asia."
Yabut, a former senior product manager at GlaxoSmithKline Philippines, defeated 11 contenders from 7 countries to become a top-salaried apprentice for the show’s host, Malaysian business mogul and AirAsia group chief executive officer Tony Fernandes.
Yabut says, aside from a personal triumph, he sees it as a victory for the country.

He says, “This is not about me. This is about my country, about proving to the world that a Filipino can make it internationally."
