MANILA, Philippines – Brothers Emil, 16 and Dariel, 13 have been playing the cello since they were 4 years old.

Trained by their grandfather, the brothers share how grateful they are for years of musical training. Their grandfather, a Russian immigrant, fled the Soviet Republic many decades ago with nothing but his cello. The brothers joined reality talent show America’s Got Talent as a form of payback. Elder brother Emil says the best way to repay their grandfather is to get on “on the big stage.”

They performed the Jimi Hendrix classic “Purple Haze,” stunning the judges and audience alike. Watch their performance and prepare to get your mind blown.
